The Oddacity is a tattoo studio founded in Bellingham, Washington. It is queer-owned by spouses Alana and Dagmar, focusing on the inclusivity of all clients. Alana Downing

Alana has worked in a shop for ten years and has been tattooing for eight. She studied for two years in a professional apprenticeship in Oklahoma before moving to Washington. Alana enjoys typography, stippling, polka trash, realism, and grunge style tattoos but enjoys doing a little bit of everything!
Dagmar Downing
they/them
​
Dagmar has been tattooing for six years with their wife Alana. They studied for two years in Oklahoma under the apprenticeship of a licensed artist and were professionally trained in tattooing. Prior to tattooing they were a digital illustrator and artist of miscellaneous mediums. Trained in several styles, they enjoy nature tattoos (color or non), floral work, watercolor, and stippling.
Midgar Clay

Midgar underwent a traditional apprenticeship program in Texas and has retained both the education and tough biker aesthetic. Their style and vibe are dark, but they undoubtedly bring a bright and positive energy to the shop! Midgar enjoys heavy blackwork, skulls, and horror themes in their ink.
Runa Dahl
she/her

Runa has been apprenticing under Kyle for nearly two years now. They have made great strides in learning about tattooing, along with refining their own style of art! Runa enjoys stylized animals, with a focus on black and gray (though she'd love to get more color under her belt).
Eli Larue

Eli has practiced outside of a shop tattooing for years before joining the team. Having gone through online training seminars and crash courses, he's been a delightful addition to the Oddacity family for two years! Eli enjoys grunge, cybersigilism, and gothic inspired designs.
Kyle Clay
he/him

Kyle apprenticed in Texas beside Midgar in a traditional shop setting. With a quiet demeanor, he's happy to chat through the whole tattoo, or enjoy the music playing in shop with you. Kyle enjoys tattooing blackwork, fine line, and quirky animals!

We now have so many artists in shop consistent hours are hard to tack down. Most of us aren't at the shop unless we've scheduled an appointment with you. If you plan on coming in for a walk-in or consultation it always helps to contact us first!
